Living at Linkage is about developing the whole you and your academic achievements.
We offer residential placements at most of our college campuses, either on-site or very close by.
Our residential placements are an opportunity for you to become more independent, make new friends and move into adulthood in a safe and supportive environment.
When you come to us as a residential student, we’ll work with you to put in place a detailed care plan which reflects your goal and the support you need. Our expert Linkage Care colleagues will help you to settle in and ensure that you have everything you need, not only academically but personally and socially too. You’ll get to do lots of new things for yourself and with your friends.
We can support you with:
- developing independent living skills,
- travel training,
- support with your medication,
- money management,
- community engagement,
- developing social relationships with others,
- cooking, cleaning and looking after your home,
- develop safety awareness (person, travel, home, and e-safety),
- and more.
Our students tell us that Linkage is a great place to live and learn, and parents tell us that they are really impressed by the continuity of support between college and home.
- While I’ve been at Linkage College I have stayed at Abbey House, and I have enjoyed making new friends and living with them.”– Student
- The residential placement is the full package … the communication between college and home was excellent and support was continuous.”– Parent
- The genuinely caring and inclusive culture at the service was outstanding … Staff were compassionate and kind and went ‘above and beyond’ to ensure people received positive outcomes.– The Quality Care Commission
