Linkage joins national recruitment campaign

Posted: 13/02/2019

The Department of Health and Social Care has launched a national recruitment campaign and we’re getting involved.

The ‘Every Day is Different’ campaign aim is simple – to encourage more people to apply to work in adult social care by:

  • Raising awareness of the variety of jobs available.
  • Changing what people think about working in the sector
  • Increasing consideration and intention amongst individuals with the right values, and who might be looking for a new challenge.

Working in social care can be rewarding, varied and worthwhile. It is a vocation where you make a real difference and every day really is different to the next.

Despite this, recruitment is one of the biggest challenges facing our charity as we try to find the right sort of people to help us make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities.

We have a number of jobs available across Linkage requiring different levels of qualifications, skills and experience. However, the most important element we look for in prospective employees is that they share and can demonstrate our values of: Respect, Honesty, Independence, and Teamwork.

We look for people who can:

  • help create a safe and supportive learning environment for people with learning disabilities.
  • inspire and support people to challenge and stretch themselves.
  • listen, understand and empathise to support people to make their own decisions.
  • communicate and interact in a way that shows we understand and care.
  • work together with other people for better outcomes.

If you’re the sort of person who treats others with respect, listens to their needs, understands their emotions, and is warm, kind and honest, then working for Linkage could be perfect for you. You can view our current vacancies here.

Every day is different when you work in social care!
