Volunteer in one of our charity shops

Do you want to improve your CV, meet new people and have fun whilst supporting people with learning disabilities? Why not consider becoming a Linkage volunteer? We always need new volunteers without whom we could not successfully fundraise to support our work.

Some give us two hours a week, others come in every day, but no matter what the contribution, they are all making a vital difference that could help transform someones life, as well as bringing fulfilment, enjoyment and development to yours.

Many of our volunteers gain the skills and confidence to go on to find paid work elsewhere – that’s why we are always on the lookout for more people to join us!

What sort of things will you be doing?

  • Developing customer service skills
  • Working on the till processing sales and returns
  • Stock processing & preparation including sorting, steaming and pricing
  • Visual Merchandising – Creating stylish windows and displays
  • Replenishing stock on the shop floor
  • Adding items to our online store
