We have a vacancy for a Head of Maintenance and Procurement, you will be responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of repairs, maintenance and procurement services. The successful applicant will manage and lead a team of multi skilled operatives providing planned and reactive maintenance ensuring delivery of exceptional service at all times. You will also be responsible for the vehicle fleet ensuring all legislative requirements are up to date, together with ensuring efficient utilisation, value for money and that the fleet supports effective service delivery.In addition to the above, you will develop and implement policies and standards for all aspects of the repairs maintenance and procurement services which are consistent with recognised good practice.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who holds a full driving licence and has business use of their own vehicle. A degree qualification or equivalent preferably MRICS or similar recognised qualification. You must be able to demonstrate your experience and ability to deliver complex projects on time, within budget and to the quality required. This will include experience of managing contractors and suppliers even when not on site, this will require strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have the ability to make decisions, demonstrate initiative and deliver against milestones without the need for supervision, but with a good sense of when senior approval should be sought. A good sound knowledge of managing budgets and financial control.
