Support workers are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives. The college is looking for people like you to Support learners on their educational and daily programme including giving guidance/ assistance with personal needs, domestic tasks, mobility and general independence skills. Support workers will assist in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities escorting and assisting the learners as necessary during such activities. You will also be able to provide learners with positive examples of, and guidance toward developing, appropriate adult social behaviours.
You will be working as part of the support team within Linkage College based at Boultham Park.
College operates for 38 weeks of the year.
Candidates need to be flexible to support the requirements of the service
All candidates will require level 2 functional skills qualifications.
