Guidance for parents and families on the SEN legislation and disability reforms

Fundamental and far-reaching changes have taken place in how young people with special educational needs are supported into adulthood. These changes are enshrined in the Children and Families Act 2014.

Whilst the aim is to provide better support to young people, parents may not always have sufficient information on which to make informed choices and decisions or they may lack the confidence to do so.
