Our Short Breaks and Respite service offers a wealth of opportunities for discovering new people, new places and new things to do.
It gives individuals and their families the chance get the support they need to take some time out and relax away from the stresses and strains of everyday life. It enables clients to discover more about themselves and the world around them in the safe and supportive environment of our fully-accessible Keal View property based at Toynton in the lovely Lincolnshire Wolds.
We offer a truly personal service designed to meet guests’ individual needs whether they stay one night or one month. Flexible, accessible and welcoming, we go out of our way to ensure that our visitors enjoy every moment of their stay.
Keal View is a nine-bedroomed property which offers downstairs bedrooms, wet room, overhead tracking, hoists, specialist beds and other equipment.
Specialist support is on hand to cater for every individual need. Staff are trained in first aid, management of epilepsy and diabetes and administration of medication. We also meet a range of personal care needs. With the support of our speech and language therapy team, Linkage promotes a Total Communication and inclusive environment. We can also support individual communication needs through assistive and augmentative aids and technologies, including signing, symbols, objects of reference, individualised visual supports, iPad technology and interactive switches.
Our guests often enjoy return visits and they can choose to do the same thing or different activities each time. They also have the opportunity of keeping a photographic or video-based record of their activities and experiences.

Clients and guests often join our Adult Skills activities on and off site. There are also many popular tourist attractions nearby, such as the East coast resorts and beaches at Skegness, Mablethorpe and Cleethorpes, Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, nature reserves and the Wolds.
Introductions to this service are designed to take place at the pace of the individual client and can include family visits, tea or lunch visits or initial overnight stays, until they feel comfortable to stay as long as they wish.
