More than 80 Linkage clients have moved to their own tenanted accommodation. Their individual counselling and support needs are met through Linkage’s own Community Support Staff and in addition, the individual tenants access Linkage Employment Services by agreement with their sponsoring authorities. This service does include, where appropriate, the organisation and support for individuals to attend work placements and a further option is for individuals to gain employment with support from our Employment Services team.
Options for supported housing and independent living are created through our close working relationship with a registered social landlord and housing authorities.
Accommodation options include single-occupancy flats or bungalows sited in local market towns and in Grimsby and Lincoln, save two–person flats and bungalows and more recently shared living between small groups of people with varying degrees of staff support from 22 hours to period planned visits, according to need. Usually, accommodation is grouped together with four to eight flats so tenants have support from each other. Individual needs and aspirations vary and through our partnership working we have assisted two couples who married to move into their own houses with continuing support.
Community Support also provides a wide variety of services for people in their own homes, from support with personal care to short-term respite to supporting individuals to pursue leisure activities and holidays of their choice.
