Sir Joseph Banks
Sir Joseph Banks Ltd is a Social Enterprise based in the Sir Joseph Banks Centre, Horncastle in Lincolnshire. Its members and directors comprise of representatives from the Sir Joseph Banks Society, Linkage Community Trust and Lincolnshire Community Foundation.
The purposes are twofold. Firstly, to provide training and real work placement opportunities for learning disabled people who experience disadvantage in the labour market. Secondly through its activities it contributes to the development and growth of the Sir Joseph Banks Society.
Current activities include exhibition, retail, maintenance, horticulture and crafts. Volunteers from the community together with Linkage staff and trainees run a very successful gift shop and maintain the superb Sir Joseph Banks tribute garden.
