Local people with learning difficulties put on a musical extravaganza!

Learners from Linkage College are set to showcase their talent through a musical extravaganza, featuring special guests, to raise money for St Andrew’s Hospice and Linkage Community Trust.

The extravaganza arranged by performing arts lecturers Zoe Proctor and Zoe Lewis, will take place at the Beachcomber in Cleethorpes, 7.00pm on Thursday 25 March 2010. Learners from Linkage College will perform alongside local artists, some of the areas top bands and local entertainers, taking you on a musical journey from the 1950’s to the 1990’s.

The chance to perform to a large audience is an ideal opportunity for people to see the results of the hard work the learners have displayed during their drama course at Linkage College.

Zoe Proctor said,"the idea behind the event is to give our learners the opportunity to perform alongside some of the areas most talented artists and performers. Many of our learners arrive at Linkage with low self esteem and confidence and may never have dreamt they would be able to get on stage and perform in front of a live audience. We have been amazed at the kind generosity of everyone involved, giving up their free time to make this very special charity event possible. The evening is surely going to be a spectacular mix of live music, dance and song. We hope it will a unforgetable experience for everyone attending and taking part, especially for the Linkage learners who will remember this night for many many years to come."

The proceeds raised from the event will be shared between Linkage and St Andrew's Hospice.
