Fulfilling Potential
Include Us In is the main event in a series of discussion opportunities being organised by Linkage in response to a consultation exercise launched by the Department of Work and Pensions, called Fulfilling Potential. It is aimed at helping disabled people achieve their aspirations and play a full role in their communities.
The event, to be held at The Showroom, Tritton Road, Lincoln, from 10.30 am to 3.30pm on Friday 2 March, will adopt a discussion format around three themes: realising aspirations, increasing individual control and choice and changing attitudes and behaviours. The views of all the participants will be recorded and submitted to the Government by 9 March. Following the current consultation period, the Government will produce its strategy in the spring.
If you would like to participate in this consultation activity, either by giving us your views directly, telling us your story, or by attending the Include Us In event in Lincoln on 2 March, please get in touch via e-mail campaigns@linkage.org.uk, send a message via @linkagect on Twitter or call 01522 507214 before 17 February. The Fulfilling Potential document can be accessed online at

We have also reproduced here the set of questions that form the basis of the consultation and our Include Us In event in Lincoln, in both PDF and Word Format, in order to attract the widest response from parents and families. The Government are welcoming responses to any or all of the questions and they are particularly keen to hear about what works best for disabled people in terms of success stories and good practice. Please feel free to download the questions, make your response and return by post or e-mail to:
